Our Chief Revenue Officer, Robert Sherick, is attending the ASEAN energy conference in October. His presentation on Interconnection in the United States reviews innovative concepts being deployed to increase the energy infrastructure buildout. Programs like the California Independent System Operator's Subscriber Participating Transmission Owner (SPTO) model, Southwest Power Pool's Consolidated Planning Process (CPP), and GridUnity's Digital Integration for Grid Interconnection Tools/Analysis/Logic (DIGITAL) are all working to streamline and accelerate the interconnection process and creating the incentives to buildout the associated transmission grid to support generator interconnection.

At RFPpower, we see this need extending to streamlining the process to evaluate and select energy resources through the power procurement process. The tools available to coordinate the diverse stakeholders in the power procurement RFP process are critical to effective resource selection. Collaboration across these stakeholders is the key to successfully meeting the future energy demands.

The paper Mr. Sherick is presenting is available here.
